Carpigiani Gelato University returned to South Africa for a free two-day gelato seminar at the FBI Chef School in Johannesburg on 14 and 15 May 2019.
Seven chefs competed in Long Island on 25 April 2019. Torta di Mele won the Gelato category and Honey Vanilla the Ice Cream category.
Carpigiani exhibited at the Hirata Food Fair in Kobe on 4 and 5 June 2019, with live gelato demonstrations from Gelato University instructor Hiroyuki Emori.
Twenty-five artisans competed in the Carpigiani Challenge semifinal in Tokyo on 3 and 4 April 2019, and 12 flavours advanced to the Yokohama final.

Hungarian chef Adam Fazekas won the Next Generation challenge at the 2019 Gelato Festival in Rome, securing a place in the Gelato Festival World Masters 2021 final.
Carpigiani exhibited at Hotelex Shanghai 2019, the 28th Shanghai International Hospitality Equipment & Food Service Expo, from 1 to 4 April.
