About the Pentagram Display
Pentagram Display is ISA’s designer gelato cabinet, from the Pentagram collection designed with Antonio Citterio. It combines raised trays, continuous LED light and heated glass with the company’s natural-refrigerant technology.
It comes in two heights, 117 and 135 cm, in 120, 170 and 220 cm lengths plus a corner, with Plus, Plus 1 or Plus 2 ventilation and optional canalised and Dual Temperature versions.
What makes the Pentagram Display different
Raised trays, LED light and heated glass
Trays sit in a raised position with continuous LED light, and the three ventilation options give three ways to present the gelato. Double-heated side glass and a heated, laminated front glass keep the panes clear in demanding conditions.
Single evaporator, double front airflow
Plus is ISA’s original ventilation. One evaporator feeds two air outlets, at the front and in the centre, with the air moving from the customer side to the operator side. Trays sit at 11 degrees, which lifts the product into view and keeps serving comfortable. The gelato stays firmer on the customer side and softer where you scoop. It also suits ice cream on sticks, single portions and cold pastry.
Double evaporator, single rear airflow
Plus 1 uses two evaporators and one rear air outlet, with the air moving from the operator side to the customer side. The single supply allows one tray inclined at 3 degrees for cold pastry and single portions. The strong air throw and adjustable deflectors suit tall “gelato mountains” and ice cream on sticks.
Double evaporator, double rear airflow
Plus 2 pairs two evaporators with two air outlets, at the rear and in the centre, moving the air from the operator side to the customer side. The combination spreads the cold evenly over every tray. It suits gelato mountains, sticks, single portions and cold pastry.
Lift-up glass and a double drain
The front glass lifts upward on a handle with a safety lock for full access to the well. A double 1-inch drain in the base keeps cleaning simple and outside odours out. The rear cover gives quick access to the condensing unit, even with a platform fitted.
Continuous linear runs
Pentagram Display joins in continuous linear runs with other ISA gelato and pastry cabinets without side dividers. Two heights, 117 and 135 cm, three lengths and a corner module channel together, and the shelves line up across the run.
Touch-screen control panel
An electronic control panel with a digital touch-screen display sets temperature and lighting.
Pans per size
120 cm: twelve 5 L pans (360 x 165 x 120 mm) or eight (360 x 250 x 80 mm). 170 cm: eighteen or twelve. 220 cm: twenty-four or sixteen. Plus 1 versions take a single tray; Plus and Plus 2 versions take two.
R290 dual-circuit refrigeration
The refrigeration unit runs on R290, a natural refrigerant, with a hermetic compressor and reverse-cycle defrost. ISA quotes 30% less vibration and noise than its R404A models and up to 10% lower energy use. Cyclopentane insulation performs about 20% better than conventional foam, which helps the cabinet hold climate class 7 (35 °C and 70% humidity).
Shorter defrost cycles
Automatic reverse-cycle defrost finishes in about half the time of a hot-gas cycle, so the surface of the gelato stays intact and the cabinet uses less energy. Pastry versions defrost by compressor stop. High-efficiency electronic condenser fans add to the saving.

The Pentagram collection, designed with Antonio Citterio, offers front panels plain or with four milling patterns in Solid Surface, hardwood or painted MDF.
Full Mode
In Full Mode, cold air is distributed through the whole display area, including the shelves, at the press of a button.
Gelato in summer, pastry in winter
The optional Dual Temperature function switches the cabinet between gelato and pastry operating temperatures at the touch of a button. One cabinet changes with the season without taking more floor space. Stainless steel trays convert the well for pastry, and a glass shelf with 5700 K LED lighting is available on request.
