Brazil’s Two Best Gelato Masters Earn a Place in the World Final

Gelato Festival World Masters returned to Los Angeles for the first time since 2023, bringing 10 North American gelato artisans to Ovation Hollywood on August 30 and 31, 2025.

Fifteen Brazilian gelato masters, selected in 2023 and 2024, competed at FIPAN in São Paulo for the two available World Final places.

José Romero of Pepe's in Brussels topped a field of 24 at the Belgian Gelato Festival World Masters challenge, with three more artisans also qualifying for the finals.

Stephanie Tucci of By Chefanie in Barrie won the Ontario challenge with her mascarpone and fig vermouth gelato "Mio Nonno".

Belgium hosted the first European stop of the 2025 Gelato Festival World Masters tour at Carpigiani Benelux in Zandhoven on 24 February.
